Children's News at Saint Aidan

4:12 & Momentum

Mainly Music has been Mainly Fun!

It has been another wonderful year of singing and dancing for St Aidan's mainly music group, passionately led by Paul Kelly-Moore, and ably supported by a host of others. Each Wednesday morning you can find Paul, a whole heap of kids, their mums, dads, grannies and nannies jumping around in the hall enjoying some great music and company, while the kids develop some movement and coordination skills. The actions are made even more fun by the introduction of props such as instruments and a big bright parachute, which children have turns hiding under as it is billowed above them—all in time with the music of course !

With 50 families on the roll and a long waiting list the programme is as popular as ever. Special thanks to the ladies who help to serve morning tea—which is a very important and well received part of the morning. We still need more helpers and so for more info, or to offer your help, please contact Paul Kelly-Moore. Full on the job training provided!

mainly music concludes for 2009 on Wednesday, 9 December with our Christmas Party, and resumes in February 2010.

Annual CZone Car Wash - 8th March 2009

CZone once again held their annual missions fundraising car wash. While we all sat in Church, CZone and their teachers, armed with buckets, brushes, hoses and only the highest quality bubbles washed all the cars in the car park. The same buckets became collection buckets and as church concluded CZoner's collected $500 which will go to TEAR Fund towards children who live in poverty. A HUGE thank you to all the children, their wonderful teachers, and to those who gave generously. Well done!
